The star has given the full amount of his twenty-five thousand pound honor winnings to the MVT, which functions to protect the Britain's independent live music spots.
The star was awarded the award on mid-October as his third album People Watching was chosen as the top album of the past year.
He has decided to give the cash to the trust, in acknowledgment of the vital role small stages had in his early career.
"I wouldn't be doing what I am doing today if it weren't for all the performances I did around the area, and beyond, when I was beginning," stated Fender. "These spaces are iconic, but they are struggling."
Beginning in 2023, more than 150 of these venues have permanently closed – roughly 16 percent of the entire UK sector.
In the last year, major artists such as Pulp, Coldplay, Katy Perry and Sheeran have all aided the MVT in its efforts to help venues survive, by including a minor surcharge to their ticket prices, which supports smaller concert halls.
Sam Fender also participated, raising in excess of £100,000 on his live tour to help numerous small stages across Britain.
The donation helped locations that were confronting imminent closure due to difficulties caused by floods, fire incidents and family tragedies, as well as regulatory hurdles, legal disputes and neighbor objections.
Other venues were granted monetary aid in improving amenities and gear that helped artists and audiences.
"The idea that money from performances in large arenas backs the smaller venues, where it kicks off for performers like me, is just common sense," Sam Fender has stated.
Fender is far from the only musician to give his honor funds to good deeds.
