New Information Emerge Regarding the Discovery of the Bodies of Rob and Michele Reiner Bodies

Fresh particulars have surfaced concerning the untimely deaths of renowned filmmaker Rob Reiner and artist Michele Singer Reiner, whose remains were discovered at their Los Angeles home property on Sunday.

The Discovery

A source indicates citing a family associate, a therapist scheduled for an appointment initially became concerned after not being able to enter the home. This individual then reached out to the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who lives close by.

When she went into the house, Romy discovered her father's body. Reports state she then fled the house in anguish, unaware at that moment that her mother's body was also present. Her roommate who had accompanied her promptly called 911. Afterward, paramedics discovered Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Criminal Developments

Authorities have charged the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with the charges of first-degree murder, as well as the use of a dangerous weapon, said to be a knife. He is presently in custody and is ineligible for bail.

Disputed Reports

The person close to the family challenged several initial details. They said that while Romy Reiner told emergency responders that her brother Nick resided in a separate structure on the property, she did not name him as a potential suspect at that juncture.

Furthermore refuted widely reported notions that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been particularly "worried" about Nick's conduct in the weeks leading up to the incident. The source claimed the family was "used to working through [Nick's] problems together."

This refutation applies to accounts of alleged "erratic" conduct by Nick at a gathering thrown by Conan O'Brien on the night before the discovery. Although the source said they were not in a position to confirm whether Rob had "chastised" his son at the party, they maintained that suggestions of a "blow-up" between the two were not correct.

Investigation Details

Per law enforcement officials, the coroner had yet to determine as of Tuesday whether the Reiners died Saturday night or on Sunday. Some media reports indicated the state of their bodies pointed to they had been dead for a period of time.

Nick Reiner was arrested at around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the neighbourhood of Exposition Park, some 15 miles from the residence. He was set to be arraigned on Tuesday, but his legal counsel, Alan Jackson, indicated his client had not been medically cleared and would not be present until no sooner than Wednesday.
