Approximately 25,000 residences in Queensland's southeast woke up experiencing outages on Monday's dawn after powerful weather events passed over the region, bringing powerful gusts topping 109km/h.
Massive Hailstones and Widespread Destruction
Locals reported giant hailstones as large as 7cm in some areas. Weather authorities announced that multiple regions across Queensland had been hit with significant hail.

Victorian Weather Woes
At the same time, nearly 1,000 energy customers in the southern state also encountered energy failures after the capital city saw its most precipitation in 18 months.
State Emergency Services responded to over five hundred requests for assistance across the state, mainly for property damage but also for downed trees and flooding.

Damp conditions were predicted to continue along significant areas of Queensland's east this coming days as a low-pressure trough continued to draw in moisture against the coast.
Tomorrow was expected to become the heaviest precipitation period, with continued storm activity expected across various areas of both states.

Health officials warned that there was an greater possibility of weather-related respiratory issues across the northern rural areas, specifically given the current weather patterns.
