In a unexpected collaboration that challenges traditional predictions, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Disclosed

According to the formal release, "A strange meeting pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where whispers of prohibited ceremonies and terrifying changes echo through the darkness." The plot features a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a hidden sect.

The adventure concentrates on "strange experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Locations and Transformations

The trailer highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview ends with a powerful sequence showing a character, likely the captive, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Bonus Content

Players who successfully complete the mission will acquire an exclusive katana in addition to several items hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:

Third Free Story Addition

This release also brings the game's newest free story content, titled "A Puzzlement."
